I recently went on a hair care course provided by Plush Folly making shampoo, conditioner and hair serum. Rather than using a soap base which contains lye and is too alkali for hair, these recipes used surfactants (surfactants lower the surface tension of a liquid and can act as detergents/emulsifiers/foaming agents).
Thank you to everyone who liked and shared our Peppermint Lip Balms on Facebook. As we reached one hundred likes it was time to gather the names of those who liked and shared our photo and pick seven names at random. We announced the names on Facebook on Monday everning, but here are the names in case you missed it.
If your are one of the lucky people to get a sample then make sure you email your address to firstname.lastname@example.org
I hope you all love your free Peppermint Lip Balm!
In other news, we are getting really close to launching our retail site via Etsy. More information to follow.
We have 7 of our Team Peppermint Lip Balms waiting to go to a good home. Interested? All we ask is that you head over to our Facebook page and help us get to 100 page likes! To do this like the freebies post on our page and share it to your own wall too. Then once we reach 100 page likes we will pick the 7 winning names randomly (these will be people who have liked and shared the freebies post) and pop a lovely lip balm in the post to them.
Remember, to be in with a chance you need to like and share the freebies post. Good luck and happy sharing!
This rainy season has made our garden go completely wild (and it’s paved!) so in an attempt to restore some dignity to it I went out with the shears. I remembered we have a lavender and rosemary bush in the back corner and realised these are perfect ingredients for Fillanew’s recipes. I can’t believe I didn’t think of it sooner!
